The Role

We are looking for a proactive and hands-on School Cleaning Supervisor to lead cleaning operations at Edinburgh Academy Senior School. You will play a key role in maintaining high standards across the site, leading your team by example and ensuring all cleaning tasks are delivered efficiently and safely.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead daily cleaning operations, including floor care and reactive cleaning tasks
  • Supervise, support, and organise your team, including rotas and training
  • Carry out audits, monthly performance checks, and safety walks
  • Manage cleaning materials and chemicals in line with COSHH regulations
  • Ensure all cleaning standards meet Sodexo and client expectations
  • Monitor performance, manage resources, and report any incidents
  • Provide cover and support additional hours where required

About You

  • Experience in cleaning or housekeeping, ideally with supervisory responsibility
  • A hands-on, organised approach with strong communication skills
  • Knowledge of cleaning methods, Health & Safety, and COSHH regulations
  • High standards of professionalism, presentation, and personal hygiene
