Kitchen Porter - Edinburgh Zoo 12.71 per hour Free Parking Free staff meal and break Work in a dynamic and supportive kitchen Progression and development opportunities Work in an iconic Edinburgh Venue Main Responsibilities Maintaining excellent cleanliness and hygiene throughout the kitchen and food preparation areas Washing dishes, utensils, pots and pans efficiently to a high standard Keeping kitchen equipment, work surfaces and floors clean and sanitised Assisting chefs with basic food preparation, including peeling, chopping and portioning ingredients Disposing of waste correctly while following recycling and sustainability procedures Supporting the kitchen team during busy service periods Following all food safety, hygiene and health & safety procedures Completing daily cleaning schedules and reporting any maintenance or hygiene concerns Ideal Candidate We're looking for someone who is: Hard-working, reliable and punctual Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment A great team player with good communication skills Positive, enthusiastic and willing to learn Able to follow instructions and maintain high standards Flexible to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and public holidays Previous experience in a kitchen or hospitality environment is helpful but not essential .
