Job Overview
Cleaning Operations Manager (Residential) – join Sodexo to ensure a clean, safe and inspiring living and learning environment for students and staff at the University of Greenwich.
Responsibilities
- Assume full responsibility for your area of control against the contracted scope of work.
- Ensure termly and end of tenancy inspections are carried out, coordinating with the Sodexo FM Team and university departments.
- Maintain a professional, safe and compliant culture by training staff effectively.
- Plan, arrange and deliver a cost‑effective summer school model in line with the Head of Residences.
- Conduct one‑to‑one and ACCESS conversations to identify training requirements and development areas.
- Attend all nominated training courses, in‑house and external, to meet the development needs of the post holder.
- Ensure FM management systems are maintained for site‑based operations, logging and reporting jobs appropriately.
Ideal Candidate
- Confident in using Microsoft Office suite.
- Experienced in managing and planning shifts for large events.
- Experience in time management and payroll applications, including resource planning.
- Extensive experience with COSHH regulations.
- Good understanding of risk assessments and safe systems of work.
- Experience in preparing for internal and external soft and hard FM audits.
- Implementation of innovation and improvement projects.
- Budgeting and cost control skills.
- Confident at managing client and stakeholder relationships.
- Flexible, able to overcome challenges and pursue continual service improvements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, fostering long‑term relationships.
- Strong leadership and influence skills.
