8 hours per week, Saturday & Sunday, 08:00am till 12:00pm, £12.71 per hour.

We are seeking a dedicated Site-Based Cleaner to join our team with Sodexo in Stoke-on-Trent. In this role, you will help maintain high standards of cleanliness, supporting the health, hygiene, and comfort of residents and staff across the site.

Approved Premises play an important role in supporting individuals released from prison, providing enhanced supervision and rehabilitation within the community. This is a rewarding opportunity to gain experience in a residential setting while contributing to positive outcomes for vulnerable and complex individuals.

What you’ll do:
  • Complete scheduled cleaning tasks across kitchens, offices, meeting rooms, toilets, and communal areas to maintain excellent site standards.
  • Ensure all areas remain clean, hygienic, and fully stocked with essential consumables including soap, sanitiser, toilet roll, and paper products.
  • Follow all Sodexo policies and procedures relating to infection control, security, COSHH, and health & safety.
  • Work safely at all times by wearing the required PPE, reporting hazards or faulty equipment, and following site processes.
  • Support the wider cleaning team by being flexible across different areas of the site and assisting with holiday or absence cover when needed.
What you bring:
  • Previous experience in a cleaning or similar role within a corporate, residential, or professional environment is desirable.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally and communicate clearly both verbally and in writing.
  • Able to work independently while also contributing positively as part of a wider team.
  • Demonstrates attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards at all times.
  • Understands the importance of confidentiality and working in line with data protection requirements.
  • Willing to complete additional training relevant to the role, including areas such as first aid, security awareness, and health & safety.
  • Must be willing to undergo security screening, including BPSS checks, in line with client requirements.
