About the role
Porter – Fixed Term Contract (3 to 6 months) at the University of Greenwich Medway.
Work 40 hours per week: Week 1: 07:00–15:30; Week 2: 12:30–21:00. Monday to Friday. Driving licence essential; experience with commercial vehicles, including Luton vans. Pay £13.25 per hour plus excellent benefits.
What You’ll Do
- Move equipment, resources, materials and supplies safely and efficiently.
- Support the collection, movement and delivery of mail across campus.
- Assist with deliveries of stock and equipment.
- Set up rooms, furniture and equipment for classes, meetings and events.
- Prepare spaces and resources for university events and activities.
- Keep internal and external areas tidy, safe and welcoming.
- Support waste collection and removal.
- Provide friendly, professional customer service at all times.
- Take ownership of tasks, understand client needs and champion Sodexo values.
- Work closely with colleagues to create a positive, high‑performing team.
- Follow all Health & Safety and COSHH processes.
- Complete any reasonable ad hoc duties as required.
