Job Description:
We are seeking a highly professional and vigilant CCTV Operative to join our team at Merville Barracks, Circular Road South, Colchester, CO2 7UT. You will play a critical role in maintaining a secure environment by monitoring access, ensuring site security, and responding promptly to incidents – all in alignment with Ministry of Defence (MoD) protocols.
What you\’ll do:
- Greet staff and visitors and ensure they adhere to the required security identificationand protocols for the site/area
- Monitoring of CCTV, Access Control and other protective systems
- Act as a first line response to activations & incidents or fault reporting
- Log calls, relay messages and provide guidance and advice to visitors, clients, contractors and staff
- Deliver and maintain customer service at all times, ensuring client satisfaction
- Maintain a high standard of a well kept reception/entry area to ensure visitors journey starts with a positive impression.
- Accurately complete daily occurrence and incident reports
What you bring:
- Ability to interact with employees, contractors, consultants, visitors, and management as well as local police and fire authorities
- Standard SIA license & CCTV License
- Background in CCTV
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience in working in a similar role
- Knowledge of security techniques and site and local emergency procedures
- Basic computer literacy
