Your role will involve hands-on supervision of your catering teams, daily engagement with staff and clients, and a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for everyone you encounter.
What you'll do:
- Carry out safety walks, conversation and supervise safety standards across area of responsibility, ensuring that our people and customers are always kept safe, whilst ensuring the site folder is up to date with all new and relevant policies.
- Play an active part in the frontline team recruitment process.
- Deliver all mandatory training within a given timeline and support with additional training needs to the front-line teams.
- Ensure effective force management that we have full coverage whilst monitoring attendance/absence and following policy and procedures around triggers and absence management.
- Ensure staff records are accurately maintained and HR issues are dealt with appropriately and in accordance with legislation and company policy.
- Conduct safety management system audits, for example, monthly/3 monthly on food safety.
- Act as a first point of contact to address any issues that arise on site, from client or customer in a timely manner.
- Carry out any other reasonable tasks and/or instructions as directed by line manager.
What you bring:
- Previous experience in a similar role, with knowledge of catering/allergens/basic cooking skills, as well as some team leading experience.
- Level 3 in Food Safety or equivalent qualifications required.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work at a fast pace and adapt to change when needed.
- Be a team player and take instruction.
