Hospitality & Event Managers to join our casual team working across our portfolio of venues!

As part of our casual management team, you will be a pivotal part in delivering outstanding service in some of Edinburgh's most iconic venues including Edinburgh Castle, Holyrood Palace, the Royal Botanic Gardens Edinburgh, Edinburgh Zoo, National Museum of Scotland, Signet Library, Dundas Castle, Hopetoun House, Mansfield Traquair, the Scottish National Portrait Gallery, the Gallery of Modern Art and Musselburgh Racecourse.

What you’ll do

  • Oversee the food /beverage operation, managing and supporting a team of staff, delegating tasks to ensure optimal service is delivered.
  • Follow standard operating procedures to maintain quality and consistency across the site.
  • Use your experience and leadership skills to provide and deliver a successful, exceptional, unforgettable experience for our guests.
  • Maintain cleanliness of both front and back of house areas and adhere to health and safety guidelines.
  • Making sure casual and agency teams are fully briefed, and given their allocated break time.
  • Ensure profitability through protection of the company’s asset and stock.
  • Always ensure you and your team remain smart and presentable in line with the company’s dress and appearance policy.
  • Maximising sales opportunities through upselling where possible.
  • Ensure that you and your team adhere to company procedures regarding allergens.
  • Ensure guests are served in a friendly, welcoming, and efficient manner while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

What you’ll bring

  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with both team and management around the site.
  • A team player with an ability to work in a busy environment.
  • Excellent verbal communication and customer service skills.
  • 18+ due to the licensing restrictions.
  • Experience in dealing with guest complaints promptly and efficiently.
