We are looking for a motivated and customer-focused Food Service Assistant to support our catering team in delivering a high-quality food service. You will assist with food preparation, cooking, and service while ensuring excellent customer service standards are consistently achieved. This role requires adherence to company processes, hygiene standards, and health & safety regulations, while maintaining a clean and welcoming Front of House (FOH) dining environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the preparation, cooking, and service of food in line with approved recipes and menu cycles
  • Deliver friendly, efficient customer service in line with company standards
  • Maintain portion control, food quality, and presentation standards
  • Operate digital systems to ensure accurate and efficient transactions
  • Adhere to cash handling and safeguarding procedures
  • Ensure food is served and held at correct temperatures, completing required checks
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant FOH environment at all times
  • Attend team briefings and complete required training
  • Maintain high standards of personal hygiene, uniform, and PPE compliance
  • Report hazards, near misses, accidents, or faulty equipment promptly
  • Complete opening and closing procedures, ensuring security requirements are met
  • Communicate effectively with managers, colleagues, customers, and client representatives
  • Undertake any other reasonable duties as directed by management

What You'll Need:

Essential: Good verbal communication skills, Experience in a similar role within the service industry

Desirable: Experience working within a military environment, Level 1 Food Safety, HSWA, and COSHH certificates
