Sodexo Justice Services is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Careers Education Information, Advice and Guidance (CIAG) Worker to join our team at HMP & YOI Bronzefield. In this role, you will provide ongoing careers guidance, education support, and employability advice to learners within the prison, helping them develop essential skills and prepare for successful resettlement.
You will work closely with learners on a 1:1 and group basis, supporting their progress through tailored learning plans, personal development targets, and practical employability skills such as CV writing, interview techniques, and job application support.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver careers information, advice, and guidance to an identified caseload of learners.
- Conduct education inductions and support learners through assessments.
- Review and update Individual Development Plans, setting SMART targets to promote achievement and resettlement.
- Collaborate with teaching staff, neurodiversity specialists, and custodial teams to support learner attendance and access to education.
- Help learners overcome barriers to learning and progression.
- Support personal and social skills development to maximize work readiness.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders to provide a holistic, learner-focused approach.
What We\’re Looking For
- NVQ Level 4 qualification (or equivalent) in Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG).
- Experience working with young people and adults with diverse abilities, ideally in educational or secure environments.
- Knowledge of the Youth Justice System and experience supporting disaffected young people.
- Ability to develop positive relationships with learners and collaborate effectively with support agencies.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage caseloads and meet targets.
- Open-minded, motivated, and flexible approach to work.
- Commitment to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion.
- Successful security clearance and CRB check will be required.
