What you'll do:
- Ensure our prestigious site's outdoor spaces are looking trim, through regular mowing and edging greenery.
- Maintain pathways and driveways, keeping pesky weeds at bay.
- Showcase your green thumb and assist with landscape improvement projects.
- Keep yourself and our teams safe, following safety and hazard prevention procedures.
- Uphold cleanliness standards in accordance with industry regulations.
What you bring:
- Previous experience in a similar role, with knowledge of gardening solutions and their uses would be beneficial.
- Customer service and communication skills.
- Can work at a fast pace and adapt to shifting priorities when needed.
- Be a team player and take instruction.
Qualifications:
- Essential: Brushcutters & Trimmers (Lantra/NPTC): Certification for using strimmers and clearing saws. Handheld Hedge Trimmer (Lantra/NPTC): Certification for using hedge cutters. Pedestrian/Ride-on Mowers (Lantra/NPTC): Certification for operating powered mowers. Level 2 Award in Chainsaw Maintenance & Cross-Cutting (formerly CS30): Covers basic maintenance, chain sharpening, and cutting logs on the ground.
- Desirable: Brushwood Chipper (Lantra): Safe operation of wood chippers. Pesticide Spraying (PA1 & PA6): If you are applying pesticides (weedkillers/herbicide) professionally, you are legally required to have these certificates if you were born after December 31, 1964. PA1 (Foundation Module): Covers the safe handling, storage, and legal requirements of pesticides. This is a computer-based test. PA6A (Handheld Applicator): Covers the practical, safe use of knapsack sprayers or handheld applicators. PA6AW (Near Water): An extension required if you are spraying near water bodies. Level 2 Award in Felling & Processing Small Trees (up to 380mm) (formerly CS31): Covers felling trees up to 380mm, removing branches, and cross-cutting.
