Part Time: 22 hours per week

Wednesday: 08:30 - 15:00

Thursday & Friday: 07:00 - 15:30

About the Role

We are seeking a professional and customer-focused Food Service Assistant to join our team at Fisher Clinical Services in Horsham. This is a varied role combining food service, customer interaction, and cleaning responsibilities to support the delivery of a high-quality catering service. Due to the site's location and limited public transport availability, a reliable mode of personal transport is essential. You will play a key role in ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment while delivering excellent service in line with Sodexo and client standards.

What you'll do:

  • Provide a professional, friendly, and efficient food service to customers across catering outlets
  • Assist with food preparation, presentation, and service in accordance with company standards
  • Support service delivery including counter service, till operation, and hospitality requests
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness across dining areas, kitchen spaces, equipment, and utensils
  • Complete cleaning schedules, temperature checks, and required documentation accurately
  • Follow all food safety, hygiene, COSHH, and health & safety procedures at all times
  • Replenish stock and ensure correct stock rotation practices are followed
  • Deliver catering items to meeting rooms and clear service areas promptly
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure smooth daily operations

What you'll bring:

  • Previous experience in food service, hospitality, or cleaning is desirable but not essential
  • Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional approach
  • Good understanding of hygiene, cleanliness, and safe working practices
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A proactive, flexible, and reliable attitude
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow procedures and schedules
