We are currently seeking a reliable and detail-focused Cleaning Operative to join our team. You will be responsible for maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene across allocated areas, ensuring all cleaning duties are carried out safely, efficiently, and in line with company and client requirements.
Responsibilities
- Clean all allocated areas to the required standard, including floors, furniture, fittings, glassware, toilets, offices, conference rooms, and public areas.
- Carry out daily, weekly, and periodic cleaning tasks at times that minimise disruption to the client's business.
- Use cleaning equipment, materials, and agents correctly and safely.
- Ensure all cleaning equipment is kept clean, well maintained, and in safe working order.
- Maintain high standards of operational and personal hygiene at all times.
- Report maintenance defects, equipment issues, shortages, or breakages to the Cleaning Supervisor.
- Follow all client, company, fire, health & safety, and COSHH regulations.
- Wear the correct PPE as required.
- Respond to complaints promptly and escalate to the Supervisor when necessary.
- Attend training courses as required to remain up to date with legislation and company policies.
- Carry out additional or emergency cleaning tasks as directed by your Line Manager.
Qualifications
- Previous cleaning experience is desirable but not essential.
- Good working knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and materials.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining high standards.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Awareness of health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
- Reliable, punctual, and professional in appearance and conduct.
