Join Sodexo as a Weekend Cook at our National Probation Service Approved Premises in Blackburn.

In this lone-working role, you'll prepare and cook nutritious, high-quality meals for residents and staff, helping to create a safe, welcoming environment.

You'll take ownership of all food preparation during weekend shifts, ensuring meals are prepared and served to a consistently high standard while meeting all food safety and hygiene requirements.

What you'll do: Prepare, cook, and serve nutritious, high-quality meals in a busy kitchen environment.

Deliver an excellent dining experience while maintaining consistently high food and service standards.

Ensure full compliance with food safety, hygiene, and Environmental Health Officer (EHO) regulations at all times.

Maintain a clean, organised, and hygienic kitchen in line with company policies and best practice.

What you bring: Previous experience as a Cook or Chef within a catering, hospitality, or food service environment.

Relevant catering qualifications, such as City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ Level 2/3 in Professional Cookery (desirable).

Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards.

An IOSH qualification would be an advantage.

A passion for preparing quality food, excellent attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering outstanding service.

Basic IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
