About the Role
We are looking for a dedicated Domestic Supervisor to lead and manage a team of domestic cleaners, ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients, staff, and visitors. This role is vital in maintaining high standards of hygiene and minimising the risk of healthcare-associated infections.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a team of domestic cleaners.
- Ensure compliance with National Specifications for Cleanliness.
- Manage rosters, allocate resources, and monitor performance.
- Control the use of cleaning materials and equipment.
- Communicate effectively with ward managers, matrons, and service users.
- Monitor cleanliness standards and take remedial action when necessary.
- Support training and development of team members.
- Ensure adherence to health & safety and infection control policies.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a cleaning team.
- Previous supervisory experience.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work flexibly and professionally in a healthcare setting.
Desirable:
- Experience in healthcare environments.
- Customer service experience.
- Food hygiene and health & safety qualifications.
