Job Introduction
We are seeking a highly motivated Assistant Quantity Surveyor (Change Management Coordinator) to support construction and infrastructure projects at Sodexo. The role involves assisting in cost estimation, contract administration, and financial reporting to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing cost estimates, budgets, and financial reports for construction and infrastructure projects.
- Monitor project costs and prepare cost forecasts.
- Assist in preparing tender documents, contracts, and procurement schedules.
- Support contract negotiations and manage subcontract agreements.
- Review and verify contractor claims and variations.
- Track project expenditures and ensure alignment with project budgets.
- Prepare interim valuations, draft final accounts, monthly progress reports, and cash flow forecasts.
- Assist in risk assessment and value engineering processes.
- Ensure adherence to site security requirements and Sodexo health & safety standards.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with Sodexo policies and procedures.
- Prepare reports for Commercial Manager, Project Managers, and key stakeholders.
What You Bring
- Degree or working towards a degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field.
- Familiarity with JCT & NEC contracts.
- Strong numerical, analytical, and communication skills.
- Proficient in MS Excel, SmartSheet, Asta Powerproject, and/or MS Project.
Desirable
- Previous experience on defence or government projects.
- Membership with RICS, CIOB, or other professional bodies.
