We're now looking for an ambitious, organised and commercially minded Project and Assistant Events Manager to join our team at Ascot Racecourse. This is an exciting opportunity to take a leading role in the planning and delivery of some of the UK's most prestigious sporting and hospitality events, including Royal Ascot and The Open Championship, while supporting a wide range of high-profile projects across the business.

What You'll Do:

  • Leading Event Projects: Supporting and managing critical project plans, timelines and milestones for Royal Ascot, The Open Championship and other key events. Coordinating cross-functional teams to ensure project deliverables are achieved on time and within budget. Managing interdependencies, risks and project updates to keep all stakeholders aligned.
  • Delivering Exceptional Events: Playing a key role in the delivery of the prestigious Royal Enclosure during Royal Ascot. Supporting the planning and execution of high-profile hospitality events from concept through to delivery. Leading operational activity on event days, ensuring exceptional standards of service and guest experience.
  • Stakeholder & Client Management: Building strong relationships with clients, suppliers, racecourse teams and key stakeholders. Acting as a central point of contact throughout the event lifecycle. Conducting pre-event planning meetings and ensuring client expectations are exceeded.
  • Planning & Coordination: Managing the development and approval of event layouts and temporary structure plans to ensure operational effectiveness and compliance. Collaborating with internal departments and external partners to achieve successful outcomes. Supporting the Catering Services Director with wider business projects and initiatives.
  • Continuous Improvement: Conducting post-event reviews and evaluations. Gathering feedback, analysing outcomes and identifying opportunities to enhance future events. Producing detailed reports and recommendations for stakeholders.

What You Bring:

We're looking for a confident and proactive events professional who combines strong project management skills with a passion for delivering exceptional experiences. You'll ideally have:

  • Experience managing projects, events or hospitality operations within a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong stakeholder and relationship management skills.
  • Outstanding planning and organisational abilities.
  • Experience coordinating multiple projects, priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • The ability to influence and collaborate with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the confidence to make decisions under pressure.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach with a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Experience within hospitality, events, venue management, sport or major event environments would be highly advantageous.
