As a Porter at Sodexo in Royal Stoke Hospital, you'll be an essential part of the hospital's daily operations - safely moving patients, vital equipment, and medical supplies throughout the site. With professionalism and a friendly approach, you'll help reduce the stress of hospital visits for patients, staff, and visitors alike.
What you’ll do:
- Guide patients, visitors, and staff to the correct hospital locations
- Handle waste collection and recycling while maintaining health and safety standards
- Follow all relevant policies, procedures, and management systems
- Safely transport patients between wards using appropriate equipment and care
- Deliver specimens, samples, and blood products securely across departments
- Support with respectful transfer of deceased patients
- Provide additional porter services such as mail delivery, pharmacy runs, moving furniture, and transporting records or stock
