Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Contract Manager to join our team, reporting to the Technical Services Director.
The role involves overseeing the safe and effective delivery of maintenance and project activities across corporate and data centre environments, ensuring compliance, safety, and technical excellence.
Responsibilities
- Deliver technical excellence, having oversight and control of relevant equipment and systems enabling client operations and ensuring the required levels of technical and statutory compliance.
- Maintain Sodexo Engineering standards, updating operating procedures and risk assessments as required.
- Participate in escalation response procedures for emergencies, including out-of-hours support as appropriate.
- Ensure safe working practices are maintained at all times by Sodexo and its contractors, using Safe Systems of Work such as RAMS and LOTO.
- Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to foster positive and constructive relationships to deliver technical services.
- Provide technical advice and guidance on operational issues affecting OPEX and CAPEX spend.
- Initiate and lead investigations as appropriate.
- Maximise operational availability of equipment, plant and systems.
- Ideal Candidate
- Engineering competence at least NVQ level 4 or equivalent qualifications in a relevant technical subject.
- Demonstrated engineering skills, with knowledge of engineering compliance, maintenance management and engineering standards best practice.
- Strong prioritisation and problem‑solving skills, able to work under pressure and utilise innovative solutions.
- People‑management experience aligned with health and safety standards and safe systems of work.
- Understanding of current and changing legislation and best practice in the discipline.
- Customer‑service experience and interpersonal skills, especially relating to Corporate Segment clients.
- IT skills using Microsoft Office applications and Computerised Maintenance Management Systems; experience of Maximo is desirable.
