As an enthusiastic and self‑motivated General Assistant for Sodexo at Kings College Taunton, you will assist with food preparation and service to ensure smooth running of the catering operations. The role will require working in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment. This is a lively, fun and varied role, working in a charming environment. What You Do:
- Assist with basic food preparation and service in accordance with set food standards for our school team and pupils.
- Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and dining areas at all times.
- Set tables, serve food and drinks, and clear away after meals.
- Support the loading and unloading of supply and delivery vehicles.
- Observe food handling and hygiene regulations.
- Follow health and safety procedures and best practices at all times.
- Ensure that all machines and equipment are operated correctly.
- Always uphold the reputation of the company.
What You Bring:
- Previous experience in a similar role would be advantageous but not essential as we will provide full training.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Positive attitude, flexible, and adaptable to change.
