The venue features an exciting mix of retail, bars, and restaurants, a unique Guinness experience centre, and flexible event and conference spaces—all brought to life with the spirit of Guinness.
Sodexo are seeking a highly capable and proactive Security Manager to lead our on-site security team and oversee all security operations at this iconic venue. You will manage a large team of security officers and two Team Leaders, ensuring the safety and security of our staff, guests, and facilities. Key responsibilities include managing the security department’s operational budget, scheduling, compliance, recruitment, and developing and implementing security processes and procedures.
This is a hands-on leadership role that requires exceptional communication skills, strategic thinking, and a strong understanding of operational security within dynamic, mixed-use public environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver High-Quality Security Operations: Ensure consistent, professional, and compliant security services across the site, including adherence to Martyn’s Law and client security standards.
- Compliance & Documentation: Maintain up-to-date Assignment Instructions, security management plans, BCP, SOPs, incident logs, key registers, search documentation, and ensure audit readiness at all times.
- Incident & Risk Management: Oversee incident reporting, root-cause investigations, security risk assessments, and emergency procedures, including regular drills and effective mitigation plans.
- Team Leadership & Training: Lead and develop the security team, ensuring all officers are vetted, SIA licensed, trained, and fully aware of threat levels, with consistent performance reviews and succession planning.
- Operational Excellence: Supervise payroll, time management, HR processes, and ensure officers are well-presented, customer-focused, and meet client standards for uniform and professionalism.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the security specialist for key stakeholders, delivering solutions, implementing security innovations, and aligning services with evolving client needs.
- Security Systems & Technology: Ensure correct use of CCTV, access control, and reporting platforms while introducing technology enhancements to improve security service delivery.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive strategic planning, service enhancements, and security innovation while ensuring consistent compliance and measurable performance improvement.
What We’re Looking For:
- Licences & Certifications: SIA Door Supervisor and/or Close Protection, SIA CCTV Licence, First Aid at Work, strong Health & Safety knowledge, and awareness of Martyn’s Law (Protect Duty).
- Experience: 3–5 years in security management, leading teams at complex or high-profile sites, handling incidents/emergencies, conflict resolution, and delivering training.
- Leadership & Communication: Proven team management skills, excellent written and verbal communication, stakeholder engagement, and report/documentation proficiency.
- Technical & IT Skills: Competence with Microsoft Office, workforce management systems, incident logging, risk assessments, and creating security plans and SOPs.
- Industry Knowledge: Understanding of security trends, threats, technologies, GDPR, Health & Safety, and Protect Duty compliance.
- Personal Attributes: Professional, calm under pressure, solution-focused, adaptable, detail-oriented, accountable, and committed to continuous improvement and team development.
