Retail Domestic Assistant

Location: North Devon District Hospital

Hours: 19.5 per week

Shifts: Monday 10:00–17:00, Saturday & Sunday 9:30–16:30

Pay: £12.51 per hour

This hands‑on role covers areas including the Aspretto Café, Costcutter, Raleigh Galley, Sodexo offices, Trust offices, and meeting rooms.

What You’ll Do

  • Carry out daily cleaning duties in retail areas and offices
  • Clear tables and maintain hygienic dining environments
  • Safely use and maintain cleaning equipment in line with COSHH guidelines

What You Bring

Essential:

  • Experience in catering or customer-facing environments
  • Good communication skills
  • Awareness of Health & Safety practices
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Desirable:

  • Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate
  • NVQ Level 2 in Hospitality, Catering or Customer Service
  • Understanding of infection prevention in healthcare settings
