- Minimum two years’ catering experience offshore or onshore
About the Role
As part of the Sodexo Energy & Resources catering team, you will help deliver high-quality meals and maintain a safe, hygienic, and efficient galley on board the BW Catcher FPSO. You’ll work closely with the Head Chef/Chef Manager to ensure all catering standards, safety requirements and client expectations are consistently achieved.
Key Responsibilities
Catering & Food Safety
- Prepare and cook meals to agreed standards and ensure food is served on time.
- Follow all requirements of the Food Safety Act, including accurate temperature control and strict hygiene.
- Manage stock rotation, minimise food waste, and support contract food cost targets.
- Assist with menu planning and ensure safe operation and cleaning of all catering equipment.
Health, Safety & Compliance
- Carry out all duties in line with the Health and Safety at Work Act.
- Report incidents, equipment defects, unfit food, or any irregularities immediately.
- Attend required company and client training courses and support safety initiatives.
Team Leadership & Support
- Provide guidance, monitoring, and training for Galley Stewards.
- Help organise and maintain continuity of work and service delivery.
- Support the Head Chef/Chef Manager with environmental objectives and efficient use of resources.
Equipment & Consumables Management
- Ensure safe and correct use of cleaning materials and chemicals in line with COSHH.
- Assist with deliveries, stock taking, and monitoring stock consumption.
- Maintain and clean equipment, report defects, and recommend replacements when necessary.
Customer Service & Communication
- Investigate and report customer complaints promptly and take corrective action.
- Communicate effectively with clients and colleagues and promote a positive company image.
- Contribute to the production of four meals daily for all personnel on board.
