Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Technical Supervisor to lead the safe, efficient delivery of engineering and maintenance services on site. You will manage PPM, reactive maintenance, minor works, contractors, and on-site teams, ensuring full compliance with Health & Safety, statutory legislation, and contractual SLAs.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day hard services operations, including PPM, reactive maintenance, and minor works
- Supervise employees and subcontractors, ensuring works are completed safely, on time, and to budget
- Lead and promote a strong health & safety culture on site
- Ensure compliance with all statutory, client, and company H&S requirements
- Manage permits, risk assessments, method statements, and safe systems of work
- Coordinate contractors, quotations, and works delivery to agreed specifications
- Respond to emergency call-outs and support out-of-hours maintenance when required
- Ensure all maintenance, compliance, and audit documentation is accurate and up to date
- Support asset and security management on site
- Drive cost efficiencies and best value delivery
Team Leadership
- Lead, develop, and engage a multi-skilled team
- Ensure effective inductions, training, and ongoing development
- Conduct performance reviews, appraisals, and return-to-work interviews
- Promote a “One Team” approach and strong communication across services
What We’re Looking For
Qualified in Mechanical engineering to NVQ 2 with practical experience OR NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical Installation or similar.
