Sodexo is seeking a reliable and vigilant Security Officer to join our team. You will play a key role in maintaining a safe and secure environment, protecting people, property, and assets while delivering a high standard of customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Patrol premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion or security breaches
- Monitor CCTV, access control, and alarm systems
- Control access and egress for vehicles and pedestrians
- Respond promptly to incidents, emergencies, and calls for assistance
- Maintain accurate records, incident logs, and reports
- Liaise with emergency services and provide witness statements when required
- Enforce site policies and procedures
- Conduct searches where necessary and ensure site safety compliance
- Support conflict management and de-escalation of incidents
- Handle deliveries, post, and general enquiries
- Carry out fire safety checks and report hazards or maintenance issues
About You
- Valid SIA licence (essential)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond effectively to incidents
- High level of attention to detail and professionalism
- Customer-focused approach with the ability to build relationships
- Physically fit and capable of patrols and manual handling tasks
- Flexible and reliable with a proactive attitude

- First Aid qualification
- Experience in a similar security role
- Knowledge of health and safety procedures
