General Catering Assistant
As General Catering Assistant for Sodexo at Nishkam High School, Great King St N, Birmingham B19 2LF, you will be contributing towards the smooth running of a fast‑paced food and beverage operation. You will be responsible for showcasing what the kitchen supplies, presenting it in the most eye‑catching way possible, ensuring we are offering the best service possible. As well as this, you work no unsociable hours and get public holidays off… including Christmas!

What you do
- Prepare delicious meals for our school team and pupils.
- Keep the kitchen and serving areas stocked, clean and hygienic always.
- Support the loading and unloading of supply and delivery vehicles.
- Observe food handling and hygiene regulations.
- Follow health and safety guidelines.
- Ensure that all machines and equipment are operated correctly.
- Always uphold the reputation of the company.

Package Description
- £12.21 per hour
- 15 hours per week
- Working pattern: Monday – Friday, (11.00am-14:00pm)
- Term Time only (39 week Working Contract paid over 52 weeks)
Equated pay (sometimes known as spread‑over pay) is a method of paying you for your contracted hours, working weeks and holiday pay spread over 12 months instead of just receiving pay during the months that you work and none during the school closures/non‑working weeks. This means that you get paid equal amounts of pay every month. Further information will be supplied at interview stage.
