Full time 37.5 hours per week 07:00 - 15:00 £14.50 per hour

Catering Supervisor - Gloucester, GL4 3BW

What you'll do:

  • Monitor and maintain consistent methods of food preparation, production, presentation and service for all meals and ensure they comply with Sodexo’s standards and procedures and meet the agreed specification of the contract(s).
  • Plan, cost and document menus and ensure these are consolidated across the business utilising Drive.
  • Ensure stock levels are kept to the agreed establishment targets and supplies are ordered from nominated suppliers.
  • Deliver friendly and welcoming service to colleagues, clients, and customers.
  • Ensure that all equipment used is in safe working order, checked regularly and serviced. Report any faults to management/client, ensure they are rectified and ensure equipment is not used until safe.
  • To ensure the prompt and efficient preparation and service of all meals and breaks at the required time, being provided to the standard of the food service offer laid down in the Service Level Agreement and to the Client's, Customer's and Sodexo’s satisfaction.
  • Assist with daily service set up, food prep and serving from our tempting menus.
  • Keep service and dining areas clean, tidy, and well-organised.
  • Work closely with the kitchen team to keep everything running smoothly.
  • Follow food safety, hygiene, allergen and storage guidelines.
  • To assist on Hospitality events as required.

What you'll bring:

  • Previous experience of supervising a team.
  • Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
  • Flexible approach to business requirements and any out of hours working requests, i.e. Open day events.
  • Self-motivated, able to work on own initiative.
  • Ability to achieve and set standards and operate to performance criteria, with regard to hygiene.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
  • Innovation and creativeness.
  • Communication skills and a friendly, can-do attitude.
  • A focus on cleanliness and hygiene.
