Are you ready to take centre stage in delivering exceptional hospitality experiences? Sodexo Live! has an exciting opportunity for a Meetings & Events Manager to join our dynamic team at Newcastle United Football Club, a world-renowned venue where passion meets performance.

We’re looking for a hands-on, organised, energetic and forward-thinking leader to take charge of our Meetings & Events operation, ensuring seamless service delivery of conferences, banquets, exhibitions, and private celebration experiences throughout the year.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead, inspire and develop the Meetings & Events team to deliver exceptional service standards across 23 flexible event spaces and 100 executive boxes.
  • Oversee operational planning, set-up, turnaround and execution of a wide range of events, ensuring every detail meets and exceeds client expectations and Sodexo Live! standards.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to deliver bespoke experiences to all guests.
  • Drive operational efficiency and event profitability by rigorously managing labour, stock and food beverage costs.
  • Maintain compliance with licensing law, health and food safety, and company procedures across the venue.
  • Own key events from start to finish, handling and interrogating client feedback with a view to delivering continuous service improvement.

What You Bring:

  • Essential experience of managing a large operation with high volume meetings and events business.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills essential, providing the ability to recruit, train, manage and motivate the workforce.
  • Experience managing front of house teams, delivering a variety of concepts and service styles across multiple spaces simultaneously.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • Desirable:
  • Experience working within a sports and leisure/stadia.
  • IOSH Managing Safely qualification or equivalent.
  • Food Safety Level 3 qualification or equivalent.
