We are seeking an enthusiastic and driven Business Development Manager to join Heritage Portfolio, a dynamic sub segment of Sodexo Live! that delivers outstanding catering and event services across some of Britain’s most iconic cultural destinations. This pivotal role will focus on achieving and exceeding sales targets in Scotland through a strategic new business sales approach. The successful candidate will be proactive in representing Heritage Portfolio at various venues and events, developing a robust sales pipeline, expanding market share, and nurturing existing accounts to drive revenue growth.

This position requires a highly motivated individual with excellent interpersonal and sales skills, capable of working independently in the field while collaborating closely with the wider Heritage Portfolio team. The role emphasizes continuous growth, customer engagement, and professionalism, with a focus on creating remarkable experiences beyond just exceptional food and service.

Heritage Portfolio is the sub segment of Sodexo Live! that produces outstanding catering and event services for our cultural destinations. These include exceptional in house café services in some of Britain’s leading visitor attractions, such as V and A Dundee, The Signet Library, Portrait Gallery, private parties and dining, weddings, and prestigious events. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the continued growth and success of Heritage Portfolio in Scotland, working closely with a dedicated team committed to excellence, innovation, and memorable guest experiences.

Main Responsibilities

What you’ll do:

  • Achievement of financial sales targets and KPIs
  • Research and identify new sales leads with potential to generate business at HPL Scotland venues
  • Maintain a strong presence within the Edinburgh MICE market through client meetings, entertaining, presentations, site visits, FAMs, industry exhibitions, and networking events
  • Develop and implement a sales strategy and action plan to attract new business to Scotland venues
  • Record and report ROI for all sales activities conducted
  • Maintain a robust pipeline of opportunities and effectively manage the sales process
  • Build relationships with key city partners to obtain referrals and collaborate on sales initiatives
  • Conduct regular regional travel across the portfolio, including visits to client offices, trade shows, exhibitions, and other sales activities
