Dublin, A96 NX44 Deliver great food and service every day Sodexo is looking for a reliable and customer-focused Food Service Assistant to join our catering team at Rathdown School. You'll support food preparation and service while maintaining high standards of hygiene, cleanliness and customer service, helping create a welcoming dining experience for students and customers. What you'll do Assist with food preparation and presentation , following HACCP and company standards Receive, check and store food and consumables, including temperature control and stock rotation Follow procedures for allergens and special dietary requirements Provide friendly and professional customer service Set up and replenish food service counters and vending machines Operate the till when required Maintain clean and well-stocked dining and service areas Complete catering equipment, dishwashing and cleaning duties Dispose of waste safely and correctly Maintain high standards of personal hygiene and presentation Follow all food safety, hygiene and Health & Safety procedures Support special functions and events when required What you'll bring Previous catering, hospitality or food service experience is desirable Understanding of food hygiene, HACCP and allergen requirements Strong customer service and communication skills Good attention to detail and pride in your work Reliable, flexible and able to work well as part of a team Willingness to learn and complete relevant training Safeguarding Sodexo and our clients are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and adults within a regulated activity.
