What you'll do:

  • Manage daily the effective operation of the security service across site and work closely with the security supervisor and manager.
  • Train newly appointed security control room operators in line with Sodexo mandatory requirements and site-specific requirements.
  • Liaise with Sodexo and client personnel as necessary and as instructed to ensure the provision of an efficient and effective security service.
  • Prioritise tasks and respond to ad hoc requests.
  • Complete and submit report forms relating to any accident/incident on the Sodexo 360 reporting tool and the Diageo reporting system.
  • Ensure the necessary internal security audits are undertaken, provide a detailed action plan and manage all non-compliance.
  • Respond immediately to intruder/panic/fire alarms upon activation by communicating with patrol officers.
  • Ensure all incidents are recorded in the daily occurrence book via the 360 system.
  • Ensure officers are completing DOBs, handovers and patrols using the 360 system.
  • Ensure all Diageo and Sodexo documentation is completed as per requirements.
  • Ensure all relevant Sodexo/client paperwork is completed and audited to ensure accuracy.
  • Ensure the key management process is followed with audits completed.
  • Ensure all necessary patrols are being conducted efficiently by the team and escalate as needed to the supervisor and manager.
  • Report any faults or defects immediately to the help desk and inform the supervisor.
  • Provide written reports and witness statements to external agencies if required.
  • Enforce Sodexo security-related procedures and SOP's.
  • Monitor/manage the CCTV system, access control system, fire alarm system and panic alarm system.
  • Manage the access control JML process along with issuing of cards.
  • Manage the security consumable levels with cards, lanyards etc.
  • Assist with managing the car park ensuring everyone is following the agreed process and badges.
  • Attend training courses as required.
  • Ensure site is compliant with the client's standards.
  • Ensure GDPR compliance with all clients' and Sodexo standards.
  • Ensure all officers are in the correct uniform and meet high standards.
