Weekend Catering Assistant
Location: Diageo, Leven Banbeath Industrial Estate, Leven, Fife, Scotland
Salary: £13.45 per hour + Sodexo Benefits
Working Hours: 10 hours per week
Shift Pattern: Saturday and Sunday, 7:00am – 12:00 noon
Contract Type: Permanent, Part-Time
About the Role
At Sodexo, we are passionate about bringing people together through food and hospitality. We currently have an opportunity for a Weekend Catering Assistant to join our team at Diageo Leven. In this role, you’ll support the delivery of high-quality catering services, ensuring excellent customer experience during weekend operations.
Whether you’re assisting at the food counter, helping in the pot wash area, or operating the till, you’ll play a vital role in keeping things running smoothly.
Main Responsibilities
- Provide friendly and efficient service to customers at all times
- Support food preparation and service within a busy catering department
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene across service and kitchen areas
- Operate the till and manage transactions accurately
- Assist with dishwashing and general kitchen duties
- Comply with all Health & Safety, Food Safety, and site-specific regulations
- Undertake any additional reasonable duties as requested by the Catering Supervisor
About You
- Previous experience in a catering, kitchen, or food service environment
- Confidence operating a till and handling food safely
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
- Strong customer service focus and attention to detail
- Available to work weekends consistently
Pre-employment Requirements
This role requires completion of a Helux Induction, Right to Work check, and relevant screening prior to start.
