Due to security clearance requirements, applicants must have been continuously resident in the UK for the past three years. Additionally, due to the location of the site, candidates must be able to travel to and from the workplace reliably.

37.5 hours per week

Various shift patterns: 06:00 till 14:00, 11:30 till 19:30, 15:30 till 23:30, 5 days out of 7, £12.71 per hour.

Working alongside military personnel, you'll provide excellent customer service, support the delivery of food and beverage services, assist with a variety of events and functions, and contribute to the smooth running of an important operational setting. What you’ll do:

  • Deliver excellent customer service by maintaining positive client and customer relationships, supporting food and beverage services, and assisting with events and functions when required.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness, food safety, personal hygiene, and presentation, ensuring all work areas, dining facilities, and equipment are kept clean, safe, and compliant with company procedures.
  • Support the efficient day-to-day operation of the department, including stock control, checking deliveries, handling cash and equipment responsibly, and reporting any discrepancies promptly.
  • Follow all health, safety, and security procedures, including the correct use of equipment, machinery, cleaning products, PPE, and the reporting of accidents, near misses, defects, or faulty equipment.
  • Take responsibility for personal development and teamwork by completing required training, participating in performance reviews, maintaining effective communication with colleagues and managers, and undertaking other reasonable duties as required.

What you bring:

  • Previous experience in a catering, hospitality, food service, or mess environment, with a passion for delivering excellent customer service.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact confidently and professionally with customers, colleagues, and stakeholders.
  • A proactive and reliable team player who can work independently, use initiative, and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail, with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness, food safety, and service delivery.
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety and Food Safety practices, along with basic IT skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook) and the ability to identify and resolve day-to-day challenges effectively.
