Equated pay is a method of paying you for your contracted hours, working weeks, and holiday pay spread over 12 months instead of just receiving pay during the months that you work and none during the school closures/non-working weeks. This means that you get paid equal amounts every month. Further information will be supplied at the interview stage.
As a Catering Assistant for Sodexo at Kings Prep School, you will assist in the preparation of servicing and dining areas, food service, cleaning of equipment, utensils and working areas whilst maintaining correct levels of health and safety. You will ensure the prompt and efficient preparation and service of all meals to the company’s standard and to the client’s satisfaction and maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of the Unit to the required standard in the Service Level Agreement.
What You Do:
- Assist with all aspects of the preparation of food service areas and presentation of food to the notified standard.
- Handle all food with due care and attention, particularly in regard to customers' special dietary requirements: for example; nut, dairy or wheat allergies.
- Serve food and drink to customers and guests as directed.
- Assist with the replenishment of food, beverages and equipment to ensure service periods do not stop.
- Assist with the implementation of cleaning schedule to agreed standards.
- Promote a friendly working relationship with colleagues.
- Promote a good company image to customers and guests by using positive customer service practices.
- Assist with the set-up, service, clearing and cleaning of function catering as requested.
- Undertake occasional duties outside the normal routine but within the scope of the position and the department’s activities.
- Assist as required at special functions some of which may occur outside of regular hours, for which you will be paid overtime.
