Sodexo is looking for a Cook Manager to take the lead at Platt Primary School, Maidstone Road, St Mary’s Platt, Sevenoaks, TN15 8JY. What You’ll Do:

  • Preparing delicious, fresh meals and overseeing daily service
  • Managing stock, ordering and cost control
  • Leading, training and motivating your kitchen team
  • Developing appealing menus that meet nutritional and school standards
  • Maintaining a safe, clean and compliant kitchen through regular checks

What You Bring:

  • Experience cooking for large groups (100 – 1300 students), ideally in a school or similar setting
  • Confidence working with fresh ingredients and following recipes
  • Previous experience supervising or managing a team
  • A good understanding of kitchen health and safety
  • A calm, positive attitude when working under pressure
  • NVQ Level 2 or Level 2 Food Safety, plus at least one year of hands-on cooking experience

Working pattern: Monday to Friday 8am-2pm
Working Contract paid over 52 weeks

Equated pay (sometimes known as spread-over pay) is a method of paying you for your contracted hours, working weeks and holiday pay spread over 12 months instead of just receiving pay during the months that you work and none during the school closures/non-working weeks. This means that you get paid equal amounts of pay every month. Further information will be supplied at interview stage.
