About the Role

As a Casual Food Kitchen Assistant, you’ll support the day-to-day running of a busy food service operation. From preparing and serving food to keeping the kitchen and dining areas clean and organised, you’ll help ensure everything runs smoothly. You’ll work as part of a supportive team delivering great service while maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety.

What You Will Do

  • Support the smooth day-to-day running of catering services.
  • Organise and oversee daily tasks, ensuring high standards of service, presentation and cleanliness are maintained.
  • Prepare and serve food while adhering to food safety and hygiene regulations.
  • Assist with hospitality events, including set-up, service and clear-down.
  • Ensure all food service areas are safe, clean and welcoming for pupils, staff and visitors.
  • Monitor and complete required health and safety, food safety and temperature records.
  • Support colleagues across different catering areas as needed, helping to deliver an exceptional customer experience.
  • Promote a positive and professional environment while leading by example.
