Operational excellence begins with you. As a Cleaning Operative with Sodexo at Crown, you’ll play a key role in maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic environment across the site. You'll help ensure high standards of cleanliness while delivering excellent customer service to employees, visitors, and clients.
What you’ll do:
- Carry out routine cleaning duties in accordance with work schedules
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout your designated areas
- Empty waste bins and dispose of waste appropriately
- Replenish consumables including soap, paper towels, and toilet rolls
- Use cleaning equipment, materials, and chemicals safely and in accordance with COSHH guidelines
- Display safety signage and wear appropriate PPE when carrying out cleaning activities
- Respond to ad-hoc cleaning requests as required
- Report health & safety concerns, maintenance issues, accidents, or near misses promptly
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, supervisors, and client employees to deliver an excellent service
What you’ll bring:
- Previous cleaning experience is desirable but not essential
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- A positive, professional, and flexible attitude
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good attention to detail and commitment to high standards
- Basic literacy and ability to follow instructions and procedures
- Understanding of health & safety responsibilities within the workplace
- Physically capable of carrying out cleaning duties, including moving light equipment and prolonged periods of activity
