We are looking for a reliable and customer‑focused Cleaning Operative to join our team within an exciting corporate environment. The successful candidate will help maintain a clean, safe, hygienic, and welcoming environment for patients, staff, and visitors while delivering high standards of service in line with company and Trust policies. Key Responsibilities
- Cleaning Duties
- Carry out routine cleaning tasks according to schedules and procedures
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout designated areas
- Empty and dispose of waste safely and appropriately
- Replenish consumables including soap, toilet rolls, and paper towels
- Safely store and use cleaning equipment and materials in line with COSHH regulations
- Use PPE and hazard signage appropriately when undertaking duties
- Respond to ad‑hoc cleaning requests as required
- Report any Health & Safety concerns to management promptly
- Customer Care
- Provide a courteous, helpful, and professional service at all times
- Demonstrate a caring and compassionate attitude towards patients, staff, and visitors
- Communicate clearly and effectively with customers and colleagues
- Work collaboratively with managers, supervisors, and client staff
- Maintain a professional appearance and wear the correct uniform
- Compliance & Health & Safety
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and statutory regulations
- Participate in required training and development programmes
- Complete audit and quality monitoring documentation where required
- Report accidents, incidents, or near misses in accordance with procedures
- Ensure safe systems of work are always followed
What We’re Looking For
- Previous cleaning experience preferred, ideally within healthcare or commercial environments
- Good understanding of hygiene and Health & Safety standards
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Positive attitude with excellent customer service skills
- Reliable, punctual, and professional approach to work
- Ability to undertake physically active duties including bending, lifting, and prolonged standing
