Sodexo is seeking a motivated and reliable Cook/Chef Assistant to join our team at Strathallan School, one of Scotland’s leading independent boarding and day schools. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced catering environment and takes pride in delivering high standards of food service and customer care.
Working as part of a supportive team, you will help provide an exceptional dining experience for pupils, staff, and visitors while ensuring food safety and hygiene standards are maintained at all times.
What you’ll do:
- Prepare and present food to the required standards.
- Assist with food preparation and service.
- Replenish food during service periods.
- Deliver excellent customer service at all times.
- Maintain clean and tidy work areas throughout the day and at the end of each shift.
- Clear and clean service areas following meal periods.
- Assist with stock control, deliveries, and the safe storage of food, including allergen management and stock rotation.
- Ensure all food safety, health and safety, and company procedures are followed.
- Support hospitality functions and school events, including occasional evening and weekend work.
- Report any incidents, accidents, near misses, food safety concerns, or equipment issues promptly.
