We are looking for a detail‑oriented Mess Accountant to provide essential financial and administrative support to our site. This role covers a range of accounting functions, including payroll, invoicing, billing, and month‑end tasks, ensuring smooth financial operations and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records, including bookkeeping, invoicing, and reconciliation of accounts.
- Process payments to external partners and manage supplier invoices, credit notes, and purchase orders.
- Organise and store financial documents in both digital and paper formats.
- Assist with month‑end procedures, compliance, and reporting.
- Ensure all tasks are completed efficiently and within required timeframes.
- Provide additional financial support as needed.
Skills & Experience
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Experience in finance administration, bookkeeping, or a similar role.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office.
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
- A Level 2 or 3 AAT qualification (preferred but not required).
- A proactive approach with an interest in career development within finance.
