As a Mechanical and Electrical Apprentice at Sodexo, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of hospital estate systems. You will be the go-to expert for technical support and maintenance across equipment, building systems, and utility services at Royal Stoke Hospital.

What You’ll Do:
- This is a multidisciplinary role in healthcare maintenance; you will be working towards Authorised/Competent person status.
- Ensure the safe operation and maintenance of plant, equipment, and systems across the hospital estate.
- Be fully trained in fault diagnosis, repair, and testing of electrical and mechanical systems.
- Carry out repairs, installations, and testing to a high standard, focusing on complex systems such as door/access controls, nurse call systems, BMS, security cameras, emergency lighting, medical gas systems, and medical devices.
- Comply with all health, safety, hygiene, and statutory regulations, including COSHH and fire safety.
- Promote and maintain a safe, clean, and efficient environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
- Conduct planned, preventative maintenance and calibrate testing tools.
- Assist with parts procurement and technical support.
- Manage reactive maintenance during day and night shifts.
- Use IT systems for data reporting (e.g., CAFM, BMS).
- Interpret technical documents and complete regulatory applications.
- Maintain decontamination and water safety equipment, following safety standards.
