Working within a dynamic, 24 hour rotating shift pattern, you will have the opportunity to apply your specialist skills in a challenging environment that values safety, innovation, and teamwork. What You’ll Do:
- Demonstrate extensive knowledge, experience, and competence in own discipline and a working knowledge of others, including testing, diagnosing, and repairing faults in complex systems
- Investigate causes of breakdowns or failures and undertake necessary remedial actions
- Maintain, assemble, and install minor works across multiple trades, ensuring compliance with legislation and safety standards
- Conduct risk assessments for maintenance and repair works, ensuring safe working practices
- Liaise with external contractors and ensure their compliance with health and safety policies
- Keep plant and maintenance records up to date, including plant history
- Instruct and train others on core trade aspects and learn new techniques and procedures through training and certification
What You Bring:
- Relevant Qualifications and Extensive Experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance, with proven competence in diagnosing and repairing complex plant and control systems
- Strong Knowledge of Health and Safety Regulations and legislation, with demonstrated ability to conduct risk assessments and ensure safe working practices
- Ability to Work Independently and as Part of a Team, prioritising workload and handling emergency situations efficiently under pressure
- Proficiency in Using Specialist Tools and Machinery, including power tools, ladders, scaffolding, and safety equipment, in compliance with PUWER regulations
- Excellent Communication Skills for liaising with contractors, hospital staff, and external agencies, conveying technical information clearly and accurately
- Commitment to Continuous Learning and Development, including willingness to undertake training, attain relevant certifications, and stay updated with new techniques and procedures
