We are currently recruiting for a Senior Authorising Engineer (Electrical) to join our Engineering team within our Service Operations segment. You will be responsible for the practical implementation and application of Electrical safety rules on all sites, systems and installations. In this role, you will apply your technical expertise to problem-solve within your field while serving as a strategic interface between the Sodexo Hard FM Platform, internal teams, and external clients. As a leader and subject matter expert, you will represent functional accountabilities and oversee the Authorising Engineer ring, ensuring that all standards, processes, systems, and tools remain current, fit for purpose, and aligned with regulatory and contractual obligations. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The successful candidate must hold an MoD Licence as an Electrical Authorising Engineer. You will be expected to travel extensively across all sites within your area of responsibility, therefore you must be flexible. Main Responsibilities:
- Audit compliance of contracts in UK&I with statutory regulations, legislation and best practice in field of expertise.
- Communicate updates to statutory regulations, legislation and best practice with stakeholders in field of expertise.
- Build professional relationships with all stakeholders, delivering effective communication including technical advice within field of expertise, and contribution with formal or ad-hoc reporting as appropriate.
- Train, coach and assess others' competency within field of expertise.
- Functional Line Management of individuals in segments for specific Safety/SME role.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status.
- NEBOSH or IOSH Level 3 qualified.
- Previous experience of carrying out Electrical Authorised Person (AP) duties.
- Good IT skills using Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Engineering competence with NVQ level 5 or equivalent qualifications.
