What you'll do

  • Cleaning & Hygiene: Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas, including floors, walls, and surfaces. Wash and sanitize all kitchen utensils, pots, pans, and equipment. Ensure dishwashing machines are cleaned and maintained regularly.
  • Waste Management: Dispose of kitchen waste and recycling in accordance with health and safety regulations. Keep waste areas clean and organized.
  • Stock & Deliveries: Assist with receiving and storing deliveries, ensuring proper rotation (FIFO). Report any damaged or missing items to the chef or supervisor.
  • Support to Kitchen Team: Provide clean equipment and utensils to chefs promptly. Assist with basic food preparation tasks when required (e.g., peeling vegetables). Refill kitchen supplies such as soap, paper towels, and sanitizers.
  • Health & Safety: Follow all food safety and hygiene standards (HACCP). Wear appropriate PPE and report any hazards or maintenance issues immediately.
  • Teamwork & Communication: Work collaboratively with chefs and front-of-house staff. Maintain a positive and respectful attitude in a fast-paced environment.
