Sodexo Live! is seeking a dedicated and solution-focused HSEQ Lead to support the day-to-day operations of Fulham Pier, a vibrant, multi-outlet hospitality and restaurant destination on the banks of the Thames.

This is a pivotal role, responsible for maintaining the highest standards in health, safety, environmental, and food safety compliance across the venue.

Reporting directly to the senior leadership team at Fulham Pier and working closely with Sodexo Live!’s wider support network, you will be instrumental in embedding best practices, guiding operational teams, and sustaining a safe and compliant working environment that supports exceptional service delivery.

You will lead on key safety priorities such as training delivery, accident and near-miss reporting, root cause analysis, food incident investigations, and internal audits.

You will also be responsible for developing and maintaining systems that manage risk in line with legal, contractual, and Sodexo Live! standards.

This role will provide guidance, support, and clear leadership, helping to bring national safety initiatives to life at Fulham Pier and driving a culture of continuous improvement.

We are looking for someone with a strong background in health, safety and food safety within fast-paced, service-led environments.

You will need excellent knowledge of legislation and best practice, along with the confidence to advise and influence at all levels.

This role is ideal for a proactive and practical professional who thrives under pressure and is passionate about building a culture where safety comes first.

This is a full-time role based on site at Fulham Pier.

Flexibility is required to work some weekends, particularly on matchdays or working on a 5 over 7 rota.

For the right candidate, occasional home working can be considered.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the development and implementation of the HSEQ strategy, ensuring alignment with Sodexo policies and Fulham Pier and Fulham FC expectations.
  • Act as the main HSEQ liaison between Sodexo and the client, supporting collaboration and communication.
  • Manage and maintain all compliance systems, including food safety, electrical safety, licensing, waste, and transport policies.
  • Oversee and conduct audits, inspections (including EHO), and risk assessments (COSHH, DSE, RAMS), ensuring all records are up-to-date and compliant.
  • Monitor, report, and investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses - ensuring corrective actions are documented and completed within agreed timelines.
  • Provide monthly H&S reports to the Fulham board, support preparation for internal/external audits, and attend all client H&S meetings with actionable follow-ups.
  • Deliver training and inductions for staff, ensuring health & safety knowledge gaps are addressed, especially for new starters and operational event days.
  • Lead on-site H&S checks during events, focusing on high-risk areas and ensuring swift resolution of any non-compliance.
  • Manage first aid provision, third-party contractor H&S compliance, and food concession governance across matchdays and events.
  • Chair internal H&S meetings with department heads, drive continuous improvement, and collaborate with Fulham's H&S team to ensure best practice across the venue.

What You Bring

Essential

  • NEBOSH General Certificate
  • Demonstrable working knowledge of QHSE working practices and Food Hygiene and H&S legislation.
  • Experience in complex, multifaceted food operations coupled with experience in fine dining operations
  • Experience of compliance and audit management systems.
  • Experience in accident investigation.
  • Ability to demonstrate effective listening, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to identity and implement innovative and solutions drive improvements in H&S on site.
  • Ability to carry out data analysis with sharp attention to detail
  • IT Skills – Good working knowledge of MS Office, including Word create and edit documents and reports Excel, able to use intermediate data analysis tools Power Point, intermediate level.
  • Full UK driving licence.

Desirable

  • Level 4 in food safety and / or level 4 HACCP. A CEnv H or a degree in food safety or similar
