Working Pattern: 4 on 4 off, day and night shifts.

About the role

We are recruiting for an experienced Duty Shift Manager to join our security team at the prestigious BNP Paribas corporate offices in London.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced security professional with strong leadership skills to manage the day-to-day security operation, ensuring the safety and security of the building, its occupants and visitors, while delivering exceptional customer service.

Working on a 4 on, 4 off rotating shift pattern covering days and nights, you will lead a team of Security Officers and Supervisors, oversee the Security Control Room and ensure the highest standards of operational performance and compliance are maintained.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, support and supervise the security team during each shift.
  • Manage the day-to-day operation of the Security Control Room.
  • Respond to and manage incidents, emergencies, first aid and evacuations.
  • Ensure all patrols, compliance checks, audits and security procedures are completed to the required standard.
  • Monitor CCTV, access control systems and investigate security incidents when required.
  • Complete accurate incident reports, shift handovers and operational documentation.
  • Manage staff rotas, annual leave, sickness and emergency shift cover.
  • Train, coach and develop Security Officers and Supervisors, including performance reviews.
  • Build positive working relationships with the client, contractors and internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, GDPR and all security procedures while delivering outstanding customer service.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have

  • Previous experience managing or supervising a security team.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Experience working within a corporate security environment.
  • Strong knowledge of CCTV, access control and security systems.
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Experience writing reports and managing security documentation.
  • The ability to remain calm and make effective decisions under pressure.
  • A proactive and professional approach with excellent leadership skills.

Essential Requirements

  • Valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence
  • Valid SIA CCTV Licence
  • Previous first-line management or supervisory experience within the security industry.
  • Experience using CCTV and access control systems.
  • Good understanding of GDPR.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills.
