Security Team Leader

Location: Unilever Seacroft, Coal Road, Leeds, LS14 2AR
Pay: £15.00 per hour
Hours: 40 hours per week
Working pattern: Monday to Friday, 08:30–17:00
Contract: Permanent, full time

As a Security Team Leader with Sodexo at Unilever Seacroft, you will help maintain a safe, secure and welcoming environment for colleagues, visitors and contractors.

You will combine hands‑on security duties with team leadership, supporting your colleagues to deliver a professional service. If you bring security experience, sound judgement and a calm approach under pressure, we would love to hear from you.

What you’ll do

  • Lead and support the security team, ensuring daily duties are completed to a high standard.
  • Oversee access control, helping ensure only authorised people and vehicles enter the site.
  • Carry out and coordinate security patrols, identifying and reporting potential risks.
  • Respond to incidents and emergencies professionally, following site procedures and escalating concerns appropriately.
  • Maintain accurate incident reports, handover notes and security records.
  • Communicate clearly with the site management team, colleagues, visitors and contractors.
  • Support team briefings and reinforce site security, health and safety procedures.

What you bring

  • A valid SIA front line licence for manned guarding.
  • A current First Aid qualification.
  • Previous security experience within a commercial or industrial environment.
  • Experience supervising or leading a team.
  • Strong communication, decision-making and problem‑solving skills.
  • IT literacy and experience completing reports and maintaining records.
  • The ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.

Appointment is subject to the required security vetting.
