We currently have an opportunity for Lead Waiters to join our amazing team at Millwall Football Club. With the opportunity to work at Matchdays, this is a great opportunity for driven individuals to succeed in a fast and innovative catering facility.
We are looking for outstanding customer focused individuals to join a world leading food and facilities management company, which can offer unrivalled opportunities for career progression.
What you'll do:
- Warmly greeting guests, presenting menus, offering expert recommendations, and answering questions about the menu, wine list, and restaurant offerings.
- Taking and managing food and drink orders with accuracy, ensuring all dietary restrictions or preferences are accommodated.
- Supervising and supporting the waiting team to maintain impeccable service standards.
- Serving food and beverages with precision and efficiency, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
- Maintaining an in-depth knowledge of the menu, daily specials, and wine pairings to provide expert recommendations.
- Monitoring guests’ satisfaction, anticipating their needs, and responding promptly to requests.
- Overseeing table settings, cleanliness, and organization to uphold a refined dining experience.
- Collaborating with the kitchen and bar teams to ensure seamless service operations.
- Assisting in training and mentoring junior waitstaff to enhance team performance.
- Ensuring that all guests leave with a positive impression of the restaurant and encouraging repeat visits.
What you'll bring:
- Previous experience as a waiter, preferably in a leadership capacity, within a high-end restaurant.
- Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly, professional, and approachable demeanour.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lead and support a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Knowledge of fine dining etiquette and wine service is preferred.
- A strong team player with a proactive attitude.
- Professional appearance and conduct.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
