We currently have an opportunity for Lead Waiters to join our amazing team at Millwall Football Club. With the opportunity to work at Matchdays, this is a great opportunity for driven individuals to succeed in a fast and innovative catering facility.

We are looking for outstanding customer focused individuals to join a world leading food and facilities management company, which can offer unrivalled opportunities for career progression.

What you'll do:

  • Warmly greeting guests, presenting menus, offering expert recommendations, and answering questions about the menu, wine list, and restaurant offerings.
  • Taking and managing food and drink orders with accuracy, ensuring all dietary restrictions or preferences are accommodated.
  • Supervising and supporting the waiting team to maintain impeccable service standards.
  • Serving food and beverages with precision and efficiency, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
  • Maintaining an in-depth knowledge of the menu, daily specials, and wine pairings to provide expert recommendations.
  • Monitoring guests’ satisfaction, anticipating their needs, and responding promptly to requests.
  • Overseeing table settings, cleanliness, and organization to uphold a refined dining experience.
  • Collaborating with the kitchen and bar teams to ensure seamless service operations.
  • Assisting in training and mentoring junior waitstaff to enhance team performance.
  • Ensuring that all guests leave with a positive impression of the restaurant and encouraging repeat visits.

What you'll bring:

  • Previous experience as a waiter, preferably in a leadership capacity, within a high-end restaurant.
  • Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly, professional, and approachable demeanour.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lead and support a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of fine dining etiquette and wine service is preferred.
  • A strong team player with a proactive attitude.
  • Professional appearance and conduct.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
