Join a role where your work truly matters. As a Cleaning Supervisor with Sodexo at Location, play an important role in maintaining a safe, clean and clinically acceptable hospital environment. This is a predominantly hands-on position where you will lead and support the Reactive and Theatre Cleaning teams, prioritising urgent tasks and helping to deliver high-quality cleaning and decontamination services across wards, theatres, departments and public areas.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead and support the delivery of urgent reactive cleaning across clinical and public areas.
- Coordinate theatre, ward and bed turnaround cleans, ensuring tasks are prioritised effectively.
- Complete high-level and terminal cleans in theatres, side rooms, bays and recovery areas.
- Ensure cleaning meets FR1 standards and follows infection prevention procedures.
- Prepare and safely operate specialist HPV and UV-C decontamination equipment.
- Use EPIC devices to receive, manage and update cleaning tasks in real time.
- Maintain accurate cleaning records, checklists and electronic logs for audit purposes.
- Coach and support new starters while monitoring team training and competency requirements.
- Liaise professionally with clinical teams, theatre coordinators, bed management, the Helpdesk and supervisors.
- Escalate staffing concerns, equipment faults, safety risks and service disruptions promptly.
What You’ll Bring:
- Previous cleaning, housekeeping or team-leading experience, ideally within a healthcare or similarly regulated environment.
- Basic literacy skills and the ability to maintain accurate records.
- Strong communication and customer-care skills.
- The ability to remain composed and professional in challenging situations.
- A clear commitment to health, safety and infection prevention.
- The ability to follow procedures and instructions consistently.
- A compassionate and respectful approach when working around patients and visitors.
- The confidence to work independently while supporting and motivating a team.
- High standards of personal hygiene and attention to detail.
- A flexible, positive approach to learning and completing required training.
