About the Role
Reporting to the Head of Facilities Management & Workplace Experience, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving IFM operational excellence, ensuring our hard and soft FM services consistently exceed contractual, statutory and customer expectations. You’ll work closely with Sodexo’s leadership teams, the client and key stakeholders to deliver robust governance, high‑quality reporting, continuous improvement and an exceptional workplace experience for staff, students and visitors.
- Leading the delivery of hard and soft FM services across a complex university estate
- Supporting the development and execution of FM and workplace experience strategies
- Ensuring full statutory and non‑statutory compliance across all campuses
- Driving consistent processes, performance standards and best practice across operations
- Managing KPIs, SLAs, PPMs and reactive works to minimise failures and financial risk
- Providing accurate, insightful reporting to support data‑led decision making
- Managing campus budgets and financial processes including POs, task orders and receipting
- Overseeing grounds maintenance services and fleet compliance
- Supporting innovation, continuous improvement and smarter ways of working
- Playing a key role in out‑of‑hours and emergency response when required
- Championing Sodexo’s people‑first culture, CSR commitments and safety‑first mindset
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in a senior Facilities or IFM management role
- Extensive experience leading both hard and soft FM services within a large, complex contract
- Strong leadership capability with the ability to drive performance across multiple workstreams
- Demonstrable success delivering exceptional workplace experience
- Strong commercial awareness with experience supporting account growth and value creation
- Confident stakeholder management, with excellent influencing and negotiation skills
- Analytical, data‑led approach with experience using CMMS and performance reporting tools
- Excellent IT skills including MS Excel, PowerPoint and Office suite
- Flexible, resilient and solutions‑focused approach in a demanding environment
